Howard Frank Mosher has long been one of my favorite writers. I love the quirky characters, the vivid Northern New England settings, and the allegorical plots in books such as On Kingdom Mountain and Waiting for Teddy Williams. So when he wrote me with unsolicited words of praise for my first novel, Rogue Island, I was truly honored. Now he’s done it again, saying this about my new Mulligan crime novel, Cliff Walk:
“With his wildly anarchic humor, his unswerving moral compass, and his fearless determination to reveal the truth about child pornography and religiosity in 21st-century America, Bruce DeSilva’s Liam Mulligan is the most human, unpredictable, and anti-authoritarian fictional character I’ve met since Ranger Gus McCrae of Lonesome Dove. I love DeSilva’s Cliff Walk. Mulligan is my new American hero.”
Cliff Walk is the sequel to my first crime novel, which won both the Edgar and the Macavity Awards. Officially, the new book goes on sale on May 22, but both hardcover and e-book editions can be ordered in advance here.
