The Washington Post and The Dallas Morning News Lavish Praise on “Rogue Island”

This week, The Washington Post and The Dallas Morning News, two of the country’s top newspapers, joined the chorus of praise for my crime novel, Rogue Island.

Alan Cheuse, who reviewed the book for the the Dallas paper, is an NPR commentator and the author of four fine novels. He said in part: “A first novel of liveliness that shows off the skill of a mature craftsman, Rogue Island raises the bar for all books of its kind.” You can find the rest of his review here.

Patrick Anderson, the longtime crime novel reviewer for The Post, said in part: “Rogue Island is as good and true a look at the news game as you’ll find this side of The Front Page,” and added the book should delight “anyone who appreciates a well-written, funny, sad, suspenseful look at this bewildering world we live in.” Read his whole review here.
