Top Reviewer Names “Rogue Island” One of Year’s Top 5 Debuts.

Oline Cogdill, one of the best mystery reviewers in the country, has named my crime novel, Rogue Island, one of the top five debuts of 2010!

Oline writes for the McClatchy newspaper chain and Mystery Scene magazine, and she just signed on to do some reviewing for The Associated Press. Praise means a lot coming from her because she really knows her stuff.

Her list of the top five debuts appears in her column just below her list of the top 20 non-debut novels of the year. In my previous post on this blog, I listed MY top 10 of 2010, and I can’t help but point out that only four of them appear on her top 20 list. This reflects less a disagreement than the fact that this was a very good year for crime fiction. You can find Oline’s column here.

  1. How to go, Bruce! I’m betting Rogue Island is going to be under a lot of Christmas trees this year. I know it’s on my Santa’s list. Merry Christmas!

Id highly recommend it to those of you who like satisfy the inner journalist and editor.
