The DeSilva family — me, my poet-wife Patricia Smith, our teenage daughter Mikaila, and our Bernese Moutain Dog named Brady — are proud to announce a new addition. Meet Rondo, a 3-month old mutt adopted from the wonderful folks at Rainbow Animal Rescue in North Carolina. Like Brady, he’s going to be a big boy. He already weighs 34 pounds. That’s about six pounds more than Brady, who now weighs in at 111 pounds, was at the same age. Rondo arrived Saturday, and he’s already adjusted beautifully to his new family and surroundings. Rondo and Brady are already great pals, sharing their toys and romping joyfully in our big yard. Brady, by the way, is named after New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and Rondo is named after Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo
