Appearances in Kansas City, Nashville, and Atlanta Areas Aug. 22-25

Me at the Mysterious Bookshop

I‘ll be making public appearances, doing writing workshops, and signing copies of my new Mulligan crime novel, Cliff Walk, in a series of public appearances near Kansas City, in Nashville, and near Atlanta this week.  If you’re in the area, please stop by.

Here’s the schedule:

— 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, August 22.  Signing copies of Cliff Walk and talking to readers at Mysteryscape Bookstore, 7309 W. 80th St., Overland Park, Kansas.

— 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 22. Telling the true story that inspired Cliff Walk, answering questions, and signing copies at Rainy Day Bookstore, 2706 West 53rd St., Fairway, Kansas. Seating is limited to 40 people, so check the bookstore website for advance tickets that include a signed or personalized copy of the novel.

–6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 23. Discussing Cliff Walk, answering questions, and signing copies at Peerless Bookstore, 8465 Holcomb Bridge Road #120, Alpharetta, Georgia.

— Friday and Saturday, August 24-25 attending the Killer Nashville crime fiction conference, Hutton Hotel, 1808 West End Ave., Nashville, TN. Appearing on a panel about the e-book explosion at 2 p.m. Friday, and conducting a craft workshop on voice and setting from 4:30-5:45 p.m. Friday. Both sessions will be followed by an hour-long book signing and meet-and-greet.

Cliff Walk is the second novel in my series featuring Liam Mulligan, an investigative reporter for a dying Providence, R.I., newspaper. The first, Rogue Island, won the Egar Award and the Macavity Award and was a finalist for the Anthony, Barry, and Anthony Awards. Reviewers say Cliff Walk is even better.
